I tryed Comodo Internet Security at work and had no problems at all. I understand that Comodo’s Default Deny Architecture, or Automatic SandBox, is the opposite of the classic Default Allow Architecture used by othe AV products. Comodo’s Automatic SandBox runs the unknown files in a virtual environement, where it can do no damage to the pc, and, in the same time, it sends the unknown file to Comodo Labs, where it is analyzed by professionals. I have to say, I like this idea better. To Comodo team: Keep up the good work!

I am a proud user of Comodo Firewall and Defense+. I use it for my Windows machines. Great piece of quality software. All my deepest encouragements to pursue further the security and the innovation.

While I already knew how to handle my files, I thought that to watch the video would be interesting, by the way that it is explained. It is interesting . I would recommend it for the average users and the newcomers to the concepts and the computers.

I know Comodo for years. If I had enough money I bought the whole security package. After trying very bad and slooooooooooooooooooowwwwwww antivirus and firewall programs like terrible NORTON and no internet MC Afee . And the what better Avast, NOD32, and so on. I came finally to Comodo. I have worked as a technical ICT customer desk supporter and I tried and know all the lacks of almost all the popular firewall and antivirus programs. My experience is that COMODO is taking less system, protect your connections. give good protection and with the best antivirus avira you got the best.

1 thing is sure COMODO is the top of the mountain and as a professional I recommand it to everyone.

I use CIS now for several years on both Windows Vista and Windows 7 Bisland and have no problems. Although I use ClamAV only optional, because I Avast! used as a virus scanner, but the Comodo Firewall works very well and can be perfectly adapted. Keinerleit problems.

In combination with other security programs highly recommended and CIS will be at a potentially clean installation of my first firewall choice. I also recommend you further.

Excellent product. I use COMODO Firewall for five (5) months, fully satisfied with the work product (firewall + proactive defense). I recommend to all my friends, reviews are positive. Thanks for a quality product.

I have been using in for 2 years in Winxp x64 system, without any problems at all, especially Int Sec side. You set up the application and forget it; if you want to change the access rights of the program you can do easily. Also you can set p your own ISec and AV policy. What else???

Great product.I can even block all types of malwares from intruding my pc just by denying access using COMODO Internet Security.
But the antivirus is not so good.Many Unclassified malwares in the list.I wish the experts will take that into consideration.
COMODO products use a little resource and are soft to old and slow pcs.

Surprisingly i am impressed by the way Comodo does things. I used to be in favor for McaFee before but after i saw this ive changed my mind.

Probably the best antivirus software out there. It even protects the registry and it protects itself. Thats impressive as well.

This is a great intro to the basics. Is there a good place to learn more about the sandbox? Many of the unknown files people are downloading are installers that do things like add entries into the registry, schedule tasks to happen and such. You should have added links here to learn more details about the sandbox. It is without a doubt safer than without, but I’d like to see something about how it works. That’s a video for the more technically minded like me. I’d also like to see how it would handle a large file. Is my upload speed going to be used for this? How? Bandwidth isn’t symmetrical in the real world. Just some concerns from a tech who does a LOT of software installs.
And thank you so much for making an AV product that works the same way a server firewall is built. Really needed to happen.

It’s a mystery why the give this excellent product for free. Sandbox is not the only great idea they came up with all that other cool features like “Stop all traffic”, “Stealth Ports”, behavior control, manual black/white list, etc. It’s the best security suit I know of, that’s why I’m really amazed by this product being free for non-commercial use.

P.S. Tusher of course his not the product is free, and the way he explained it was way to simple, the product’s engine is far more powerful, for instance it won’t allow an incoming VPN connection without the user’s approval (no hacker can pass unless you allow it)

as he said there’s no 100% AV

First, let me compliment you on the video. Well done.
I have a question, rather an consideration. Wouldn’t a defense system using a whitelist and a blacklist with default sandboxing for unknown files do better than a defense system using only a blacklist or a whitelist? There are a lot more “good files” than “bad files” therefore there is a larger possibility that a “good file” isn’t whitelisted than a “bad file” isn’t blacklisted. In my opinion a system using a whitelist and a blacklist would be more effective (at distinquishing bad files from unknown files). I hope you understood my point.

I have been a user of Kaspersky Internet Security for many years until I installed version 2011 and it blew my PC away, deleting all USB drivers and corrupting IE7. Took me 2 days to finally repair the damage, after purchasing a PS2 mouse, as I couldn’t use an optical one due to the corrupted USB ports. I have now ditched Kaspersky and dowloaded the free CIS Premium, and I love it. As an ex IT person, I found the product extremely capable, and as a free working version (others are not 100% FULL WORKING ones), I have recommended the product to many friends and customers. This is the legacy of an extremely good product, derived from open-sourced software, for which we should have no hesitation in donating money for its ongoing development. Thank you for a trustworthy application.

I have a product I use for my Genealogy named Legacy and Commodo won’t give me permission to use it without asking to allow. ( I have placed it in the sandbox)I know it is a safe product , does this mean I have to allow it each time I open the program until Commodo says it is safe? It has surprised me that a program so world wide used like Legacy is not given permmission. It was downloaded from the Legacy site not from a CD. I did not have this problem until I downloaded some updates from Commodo about 6 mths ago. We have been using Commodo for a while now and find it an exellent product and wouldn’t use anything else.

Thank you for the information and your approach.

One of the difficulties of being born too soon and being born without a strictly logical mind is that the instructions for software are not made for us.

They assume too much of us. Your presentation was a first grade approach. But I am in first grade with computers though I have been working with them for years.

I make plenty of mistakes and I have friends who are whizzes at them so when I make a mistake (which is often) they help me out.

If some of the software producers would understand that there are a lot of Dummies (even the “Dummy” books don’t take the right slant)who are pretty smart out here and that we need a lower-level approach, it would benefit both them and us.

My first reaction when I saw you were going to teach with a white board was, “Isn’t it strange that a computer company is not teaching with a computer. However most of the people who are having problems grew up being taught through black or white boards. We are more comfortable being taught that way.

I thank you and wish you would convey our need to some of the other software companies that we could use an elementary approach.

I’ve been using comodo since it came out. it has never ever let me down. I’ve used e-set nod 32 and smart security 4, previous to this, which in my opinion was the best but comodo is now. its free, and reliable. it aint aggresive, and uses very little memory, un like its money greedy rivals.

i don’t understand, why people swallow the hook line and sinker, that is norton, maccafee etc, i used norton with my first computer and it got infected 3 times in a short time. never again will i pay money for software that lets my computer get in fected.

Well done comodo, on a great product, i installs comodo on every computer i come accross, all my friends also use nothing else.

Makes perfect sense to use a default deny rule and let Comodo analyze the file. I like the explanation of how this works. I’m glad to have switched to Comodo last year, I like it a lot better than other similar software.

slow as a snail. I spent hours and tried 4 or 5 solutions, without much success.
My last attempt was with COMODO. Now it’ll always my first.

TO CHANGE, SO REQUEST TO THE ORGANISER TO PLEASE PROVIDE SOME THEMES TO CHANGE

This is just the kind of lectures they should put in school program !
I mean even from kindergarden or grade school, they should put some IT tech and software classes ! A “how to use a pc and all that goes with it”, including lectures about pc security !
The majority spreading of malware comes from uneducated users imo !
