I prefer an alternative view… The ‘perimeter’ is now the combination of controls applied around data (your info assets) and the trust mechanisms (should I communicate with x) between systems.

I do agree, It is a connected world and we need to be dealing with it as such but we need to be doing it collabrorativly and with individual responsibility… we cannot and must not get to a state where governments are regulating …otherwise are we not just heading to be controlled like China and others.
